About Us
The Canadian Society of Professional Skin Care Specialists was formed in 2000 by a small group of professional skin care educators. It is a non-profit organization run by volunteers with medical-esthetic backgrounds.  The Society represents the CIDESCO Section for Canada. The purpose is to raise the standard for estheticians and share information for the mutual benefit of the members

THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

President: Alanna Heydanus is a Cidesco diplomate and has been involved with Cidesco International as a Director, Instructor, and an International Examiner since 1982. She has served on boards and is often consulted regarding curriculums. Since being in the industry for over three decades, Alanna continues to work at enhancing the knowledge and professionalism in our industry.


Vice President: Pat Lam, is a well-known educator for over 25 years and is Vice-Principal of Lam School of Advanced Esthetics, Toronto. She is a Board Certified AntiAging Health Practitioner (AAAHP), authored several educational books and materials for health and beauty professionals and is a Cidesco International Examiner.
 
MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR
 
Crystal Leung holds a Cidesco Diploma and an undergraduate degree in Economics.  She is the Director of Trillium Esthetic & Hair Technology College since 1998 and is actively involved in programs development.  She specializes in advance esthetic equipment training in both wholesale and retail level.  She gained her Adult Education certificate with high honors in 2005 that further advances her educational training and administration techniques.

Secretary
Dara Cardoza is a Cidesco Diploma holder and has been an esthetician for several years. She has worked in high end spas and has also participated in opening and managing two small day spas. She also provides training throughout Canada and the USA. Her passion for the industry keeps her eager to learn more and continue to assist in areas that will provide knowledge to upcoming estheticians and raise the standard for the industry.

THE ADVISORY BOARD
 

 
Cristina Ramirez has been involved in the educational field for more than 20 years. She is the Vice-Principal of Gina’s College of Advanced Esthetics in Mississauga which has been established since 1979. She is also the Vice President of a nation-wide distributor of products and supplies. As a dedicated professional, she continues to travel all over the world to attend major congresses and seminars.
                                                                                                                      
Dawn Owen trained in the UK in 1984 in a school in Nantwich Cheshire. Dawn now operates her own salon  buisness in Midland. Upon successfull completion of her teaching qualifications,she worked in furthur education for many years,     Dawn began an additional career as an examiner. Her work has taken her to places like South Africa, Malaysia and New Zealand. Dawn is thrilled to be part of CIDESCO section Canada and hopes CIDESCO becomes very successful through out all of Canada .
